Saturday Night Sessions 12th release by amazing LA based singer Gabriel Angel shows off his vocals and performing skills on the song “Far Too Long”, written by Joan “Allone” Pla and Miguel Lara, with 2 fine tuned remixes from seasoned SNS remixers Junior Sanchez, J-Cut & DJ Reza. The Junior Sanchez & DJ Reza remix is a big room house monster with hints of progressive and electro touches throughout. J-Cut & DJ Reza’s remix starts with a latin piano groove and kicks into a heavy, almost tribal beat. The strong vocal gets a great crowd reaction and the tracks were well received at the 2011 Winter Music Conference.

The inaugural edition of The Love Festival in Colorado Springs was well received by everyone who attended on Saturday August 7th, 2010. The vibe was infectious and all the artists brought the love to Colorado and it showed in their performances. Preparations are being tentatively set for next year already! The Love Festival has turned out to be one of the Summer’s best music festivals with amazing events in Las Vegas, Hawaii, Colorado and the last stop is on Saturday August 21st in Los Angeles.

Memorial Day Weekend in Las Vegas will never be the same after The Love Festival made its 2nd annual appearance at the Palms Casino Resort from May 27th-30th. The pool parties during the day were great, with thousands of people enjoying the great weather and music from Danny Tenaglia, Miguel Migs, Franco Fabi and many others. At night, the Palms Pool and Rain Nightclub combined into one large venue with amazing performances from Armin Van Buuren, David Morales, Markus Schulz, and DJ Reza.

Felix Da Housecat‘s love affair with Los Angeles has been a long one, with numerous DJ appearances over the years and the celebrity inspired song “Madame Hollywood” off the ‘Kittenz and Thee Glitz‘ album. LA is one of the most diverse cities in the world and Felix has performed in some of the most exclusive clubs in Hollywood as well as mega-festivals like Monster Massive that takes place during Halloween at the LA Sports Arena. Inspired by his annual residency at Monster Massive and the power of young people in numbers, “LA Ravers” is the newest single off the critically acclaimed ‘He Was King’ album.

‘He Was King‘ is Felix’s 10th album release and shows a return to form for the seasoned producer. “Whereas ‘Kittin…’ was straight up electro, ‘He Was King’ is straight Felix Da Housecat pop with a nice electronic feel.” Packed with club smashes like ‘Kick Drum’ and future synth-pop classics like ‘We All Wanna Be Prince’ and ‘Spank You Very Much’, his tenth album is arguably his most concise, complete work since ‘… Glitz’ ripped up the electro rulebook back in 2001.

The October 2009 edition of Saturday Night Sessions welcomed back Steve Angello after a long summer at European festivals and the Dark Forest night in Ibiza. Performing an extended set, Angello kept the night going well into the morning for a sold out crowd at Avalon in Hollywood. Franco Fabi from Montreal opened up the night and DJ Reza played an uptempo set to get the dance floor moving.

DJ Reza recently visited Montreal on Saturday August 22nd, 2009. Check out the video from the gig at Circus After Hours. It was a great gig and the crowd responded well to Reza’s wide range of dance music. He dropped his brand new track “Muevate A La Musica” for the first time and it received a great reaction, the vocals from El Capitan really make the track. 2009 has been a ground breaking year for DJ Reza with Saturday Night Sessions music available for purchase online worldwide, DJ bookings overseas and being made an American ambassador for the Amsterdam based AIDS charity Dance4Life. With all these things happening, DJ Reza has remained focused on the music, with his new bootleg remixes of Rush’s “Tom Sawyer” and Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” causing a commotion in the DJ community. Chuckie, Tiesto, Oakenfold and other high profile DJs have been supporting the tracks and look for more releases soon.

Invited by Art of Dance to perform on Saturday July 25th, 2009, Pleasure Island took place in Holland and attracted thousands of electronic dance music fans. The massive indoor/outdoor festival was located outside Amsterdam and featured performances from world renowned magician Hans Klok, Felix Da Housecat, Markus Schulz, DJ Sneak, DJ Reza, Glenn Morrison, Menno De Jong, Chuckie, Hardwell, Real El Canario and many others.

Saturday Night Sessions continues its residency at Avalon with another groundbreaking event at one of Hollywood’s most impressive night clubs. Legendary Miami producers Murk (Oscar G. & Ralph Falcon) headlined with SNS DJ’s DJ Reza & Kid Krazzy (as K.I.D.) supporting. Years ahead of their time, Murk have championed a sexy style of dark house music that has inspired artists like Steve Lawler, Sebastian Ingrosso, Dirty South and many other techno, minimal, progressive and house music artists. Their set at Avalon kicked off with a bootleg remix of Michael Jackson’s “Billie Jean” and carried the crowd with a mesmerizing mix of dance music. DJ Reza closed the night out in true party rocker fashion and kept the party going into the morning.

The 11th annual Summer Island Massive brought together Hawaii’s dance and club culture for the biggest Love Festival Hawaii yet. Australia’s TV Rock landed upon Hollywood on Saturday July 11th, 2009 and showed Avalon Hollywood how they rock down under. Saturday Night Sessions brought the ARIA (Australian equivalent to the Grammy’s) award winning artist to Los Angeles for the 1st time. Sharam got together with DJ Reza for a few of his dates supporting his new album Get Wild, which is available in stores now. Sharam played a great extended DJ set with choreographed dancers, visuals, performers and vocalists. Tommy Lee was an unannounced guest of Sharam’s and surprised everyone with his skills on the piano. DJ Reza played one of his legendary closing sets and carried the sold out Avalon

crowd well into the morning.

DJ Reza recently performed in The Netherlands at the Ex Porn Star club night on Saturday March 7th, 2009. A burlesque themed event, a packed house of hot clubbers were treated to a closing set from one of LA’s own.

Saturday Night Sessions launched a residency with Vegas Alliance in February 2009 at the Penthouse Club/Obsession After Hours and has turned it into one of the most talked about late night destinations in Sin City. DJ Reza and Kid Krazzy performed together for 6 hrs. at our last event in April and provided a sexy vocal driven soundtrack for the hundreds of dedicated clubbers in attendance. The story of M.A.N.D.Y. begins on a tennis court in Saarbrücken, near the German-French border. That’s where Patrick Bodmer met Philipp Jung on a summer’s day over twenty years ago. They grew to become great friends, and together dreamt of a way to make a living out of their shared loves: collecting records, throwing parties, meeting girls, making friends and laughing. Alas, these idle plans soon had to make way for sensible adult concerns and they parted ways.

At 25 Patrick and Philipp were reunited in Frankfurt, then the hub of Germany’s flourishing house and techno scene. Philipp worked for Snap’s record company; Patrick studied and lived as a painter. They began their first forays into music with releases on local independent imprints and devised their unofficial Lust (eng: joy, zest, delight) parties as an excuse to play records. Later Patrick acquired an old brewery as an atelier – this space served as a cauldron bubbling with their ideas, art and wanton personal experimentation. This period came to a close in 1997 and the final twang of traditional career values saw Philipp move firstly to Cologne as A&R for Jive, and later to Berlin to do the same job for V2. Patrick finished studying before taking a sensible day job he quickly came to detest.

Over the past five years M.A.N.D.Y. have come into their own as artists and DJs. Mixing the first Get Physical label compilation in 2004 sent their sound beyond Europe but it was their collaboration with Booka Shade, ‘Body Language’, which sealed their reputation: the track became a bona fide anthem across the globe and was voted Ibiza’s Track of the Season and DJ Magazine’s Track of the Year for 2005. This was followed by the ‘Body Language Vol. 1’ mix CD – DJ Magazine’s Mix CD of the Year – where in Philipp and Patrick joined the dots between electro-influenced house and disco and the prevalent minimal techno sound In 2006 came M.A.N.D.Y.’s contribution to the ‘At The Controls’ mix series – a double CD which flitted effortlessly between genres and which showed a more sensuous side to the M.A.N.D.Y. sound without compromising their underground, electronic house edge. The mix picked up a host of awards, including Mix CD of the Year from Resident Advisor, BBC Essential Mix and Mixmag in the UK. They kick started 2008 by brining their talents to the Fabric mix series and are currently working on a new album. 

Groove Radio, Chemistry LA and Belong Clothing hosted a great event in Hollywood on Wednesday December 3rd, 2008 featuring dozens of top local and international DJs to help donate toys to children for Christmas. David Delano

played a great set opening up for DJ Reza. Other artists featured include Tommy Lee and DJ Aero, DJ Dan, Dave Dresden, Dave Aude, Charles Feelgood, D:Fuse, Swedish Egil, Adam Freeland, Simply Jee, Morgan Page, Richard Vission and many others.

The Love Festival was an amazing event and Go Ventures + Saturday Night Sessions would like to thank all the artists, production staff and most importantly, the thousands of festival goers who made it all possible. Starting off on Saturday July 19, 2008 in Hawaii and on Saturday August 9, 2008 at the Los Angeles Coliseum Grounds, The Love Festival brought its signature sound and vibe to two of the west coast’s most vibrant cities.

Holland’s beloved house music-loving homeboy, Laidback Luke is on an international mission to rock clubs, win hearts and top charts. A producer and DJ with immense talent, tonnes of spirit and a steely determination to succeed, he has been on a worldwide search for the ultimate in dancefloor energy since the mid-1990s. “Music is an amazing tool that can evoke powerful memories and emotions,” says Luke with a smile. “And I will not rest until I’ve given my best: I want to share as much music as possible with as many people as possible.” And in 2006, with an incredibly impressive discography of 100+ recordings and a DJ diary that takes him from his studio near Amsterdam to clubs all over the world, including Pacha and Space (Ibiza), Ministry of Sound (London), Industria (Antwerp) and Opium (Miami), it would seem that Luke is well on the way to achieving his goals.

Discovering that he shared many influences with Steve Angello, the two hit-makers first met on the www.laidbackluke.com forum in 2003, trading MP3s online before finally meeting face to face at the Miami WMC in 2004. They have remained buddies ever since and Luke’s remix of Sexy F**k for Steve’s label Size and his cool collaboration with Steve titled Otherwize Then (unleashed on Sebastian Ingrosso’s label Refune) have been hammered by top jocks around the world.
